In our house, the meatloaf base was formed into a pie pan and a Close Encounters of the Third Kind style mountain of mashed potatoes was formed on top. The then whole thing was baked and finally covered in cheese and put under the broiler. It was EPIC.

My dad recently came to visit and made the deliciousness that is a tuna casserole; it's still pretty yummy.

Line dish with hard boiled eggs, halved. Mix can mushroom soup with 2 tbsp Hellmans, tbsp dried onion, black pepper to taste. Cayenne if feeling continental. Crush bag cheese and onion crisps (chips) and sprinkle atop the mix. Bake until brown. That is what the 1960s/70s tasted like in our house.

If that food made me as fabulous as that woman, I would be all over it.

That sounds an awful lot like what I ate growing up in the late 80s and 90s, or heck even going to a family reunion now.

Who are you and why have you raided my mom's cookbook rack??

Those were all good foods.

Twitter's one helluva drug.

I feel incredibly strongly about people's right to self-identify in any way that seems right to them, so you keep keeping on, Gabrielle Union. She was SO angry (my friend texted me about it and we were talking about this....even Johnny Weir and Scott Brown pretty heavily insinuated this was shady as eff). I think a lot of figure skating people were beyond pissed because of the shady connections the judges have (and I wish Phoenix had included that). One

Oh my God, I'm in the middle of an intensive German class, and I can't believe that I didn't think to see whether ARD or someone would have coverage. Katarina Witt had to be infinitely better than the crew doing the commentary for the prime time skating coverage.

The Norwegians were shocked, too. After Kim skated, they said something to the effect that they believed we had just watched the gold medal skate and that she would make history by winning two gold medals just like Katarina Witt and Sonia Henie (who actually won three).

Kurt Browning said something pretty similar on the Canadian broadcast. I enjoyed it! The Canadian announcers were trying to be diplomatic but still made it clear they were shocked.

anyone actually familiar w skating understood that kim was robbed. sotnikova's skate was good but not a gold medal skate. she two footed a jump and didn't deserve such a high artistic score. she deserved bronze
