A first gen neon was my first new car purchase. Unfortunately I had traded in a 92 Beretta GT for it so it already had a bit of a mark against it because I loved that Beretta and would have kept it but the solenoid went bad literally every 2 months and I just couldn’t do it anymore.

Though nowhere near as elegant, my 1992 Chevy Beretta had a pullout cupholder from that same area of the dash and got the job done.

Thank you! It made me mad when I had my 2013 Sonata and Fusion owners were saying that to me. I was like, hey, uh, the Sonata came out with that body style in 2011 and it was only AFTER that that we started seeing copies from Ford, Honda, Subaru, etc.
