but...but... my science teacher in high school scolded anyone who called an engine a motor and vice/versa. What am I supposed to do with this now after all these years of correcting my wife?!?!

I’ve been eyeing that Buick Sportback, and then the Stinger caught my eye. But, ugh. That price is too high for a Kia. Just not happening unless I can really talk them down. I’ll wait a year, see how they sell and then decide if I think I can get that price down enough to justify that over the Buick.
I think you’re right there, but I intend to take advantage of this fact. I like the Stinger and if I can get one at a nice discount on the last day of January or something to make the deal I am all for itnot above doing that. But you can bet I will do what I always do, get a pre-approved loan from my bank first. Never…
That is the thing about Elon Musk. I don’t really think he cares long term if another carmaker comes in and eats Tesla Motors’ lunch. He wants that to happen, almost daring them all to make it happen. It does not surprise me that he doesn’t bother himself with keeping tabs on what the competition is spending unless…
Yep, count me in on that!
Don’t know if what you’re saying is based on real experience or not. But I can say that I have owned 2 Hyundai’s, one a 2003 and the other a 2013. Both have been extremely reliable, more reliable than any other cars I’ve owned, not to mention the warranty coverage that tops any other manufacturer’s warranty out there.…
What I find a lot is that there is this dick measuring contest that happens between geeks (well, people in general too, but I’m trying to be more specific here). Rick and Morty fans are one prime example of this. I finally got a chance to watch the show myself, and I have to say it is a guilty pleasure of mine but I…
The car does look nice and the service sounds great. But I love how the price of the service is conveniently left out of their press release for this. “Let’s hype up this great service for a few months before we drop the bomb that it will cost $1,000.00 a month” (and I hope that I am way off on that, of course).
Ouch... Well done.
Perfect opportunity here for VW to fix ‘em and give them to hurricane victims who cannot otherwise afford a replacement car.
OK I was close for being at work and not able to look it up. Just glad someone got it!
“I can fix it. My old man has a set of tools in the garage. I can fix it”
Fiber Fix! They “taped” a whole car back together and rolled it down a hill and it stayed intact, so this is nothing.
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Big Island of Hawaii. Drove over old lava so that I could park on cooling lava and walk 200 feet to where there was active lava. Did it all over again in 2002 as well and pretty much try it every time I go back now.
...which is exactly why, if they were smart, gas stations would start putting in electric chargers that are free. They already make more money on their convenience store items, and lotto, than they do from the gasoline sales. So why not continue to have people bring their cars to you for refueling whether it’s gas or…
You are not the first person I’ve seen/heard tout the Volt as a great car. Glad to hear it.
Ugh. I hate that word, brings back bad memories, but you are spot on!
Here’s the thing. If the insurance company gets word of this, and they likely will now, then they will use anything they can to blame the person(s) they can blame for destroying the car when they would have otherwise just called it a total loss anyway. Difference being that now they have the potential to hold someone…
Agreed. This only delays the inevitable.
Yeah, that is what the rebates offer no help whatsoever for. Those people who were already driving cars that they could barely keep running and didn’t have insurance on either. Now those people are screwed and even if some have the means to buy a cheaper used car, that cheaper used car is now going to cost 2 to 3…
