This. THANK YOU!

Hugs to you.

Awesome.

I wrote this because I was so annoyed, but I'm a bit late to the party, so it might never make it out of the grays. But, hey, in case SOMEONE is interested in my wibbling. ;-). . . .

It made me incredibly sad to see this post in the Jezebel feed. I’ve struggled with weight issues my whole life, so body positivity is a big deal to me. Body shaming is body shaming is body shaming. You should know better, Jezebel. Private bodies are NOT public property. No matter who the target is, it ALL feeds into

Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure about that, so my bad. I'm OK with minor grammatical edits as well, as long as they aren't content related.

That's better: I can respond to that. Thanks, for probably the first thoughtful response to me in this thread.

“The only thing I've done that I don't think you like is say that I believe discrimination against women and minorities is a much bigger problem in academia than discrimination against people with weight issues.”

"I pick them because they outrage me."

"Let's multitask to combat ignorance and oppression".

"There is an accepted order to the severity of prejudice."

"there is an accepted order to severity of prejudice.” I’m sorry, is there a manual for that? I must have missed that in grad school. I kind of operate off the principle that all bigotry is pretty severe and should be combatted. But thanks for clearing that up. I guess as long as racism exists, I guess all of us

"Yes, it's bad to judge people on weight, because you don't know why they're overweight."

Talking about fat people “annoys you”?

I think I love you.
