Man, I’ve seen that overrated movie a bunch of times and I cannot remember who Leto is. Aren’t there like three characters plus Meat Loaf?

I’ve never been a particular fan of Leno’s comedy but I’ve heard a lot of anecdotes indicating he’s a nice guy.
Came here for this, was not disappointed. +1 college afternoon
Also worth noting, all of the fighters on the list are repped by CAA, rival agency to UFC owners WME. From that perspective I wonder if this is a move to challenge the legality of current UFC contracts? I have no idea how viable something like that would be.
Yeah, Bjorn Rebney is seen as more circus ringmaster then legit promoter in a lot of MMA circles but he’s definitely got more credibility in the industry than Kawa, who barely has a better rep than Edmund Tarvdaryan.
I don’t see how it could be about a new promotion; all those guys except GSP are currently under contract from the UFC (and I think even that is debatable!). The union thing is the only thing that makes sense, it will be very interesting to find out more details.
That said, I appreciate the links and its a fair criticism.
Eh, if we’re gonna throw out every person who initially misunderstood Trump’s appeal in the primaries then David Duke will be the only one left to write every thinkpiece in America going forward.
A big factor seems to be that currently active Latin American players were much more willing to vocally campaign against the establishment of an international draft in their role as current union members whereas there is not nearly as much opposition from American-born players to the draft that they came up through.…
Trump was a moderate Republican who became a fascist in rather short order. I don’t know the context of that statement (feel free to link me), but I can’t imagine Bouie was the only person who assumed Trump was less of a threat to progressive values than Ted Cruz was 12 months ago.
Well, I suppose we differ there. Bouie’s take matches up much better with the reasons cited by white Trump voters in my own life. Black people disproportionately lost manufacturing jobs to China, they did not vote for Trump. Personally, I would need a heck of a lot more compelling than the wishful thinking from…
Did you read the article? Here’s an anecdote from the 2008 election.
The best counterpoint to the “it’s the economy not racism” theory on Obama counties remains Jamelle Bouie: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/11/why_did_some_white_obama_voters_for_trump.html
My wife would like this mod for our marriage.
To be fair - and I do tend to agree with the Latin players here on the draft issue - Kris Bryant also got a $6.7 million signing bonus.
Beetlejuice: On Ice
Right?!
Yeah, that’s the whole joke. It’s a really old bit that he just switched out the names with, as you do. I can’t believe people were taking it as a real anecdote.
Did you upset my dog? WHAT DID YOU SAY TO HER??
Yeah, the “forgotten manufacturing workers” narrative ignores that the manufacturing jobs shipped overseas were disproportionately held by blacks. Why didn’t they vote for Trump in record numbers like the white people did? It’s impossible to overlook that “THEY took your jobs” played to some poor people and not others.
