We bought in 07 and my home is worth the same it was 7 years ago. Luckily for us we bought a home that wasn't your average cookie cutter house which played a large part in it with location being second.

People have the generations all screwed up. It's more cut and dry then people make it out to be in my opinion. Was your parent born near the end of WW2? If so you're Gen X. Was your grandparent born near the end of WW2? If so you're Gen Y. Was your great grandparent born near the end of WW2? If so you are Millenial.

You know people don't know the rest of the city at all (outside of downtown/Wayne) if they can't appreciate your comment. Well played...

Are you serious? You're actually asking what did Gen X do on a computer using the internet? lol

You're not related to Megan from Dearborn are you? lol

Sounds like you spend too much time around Wayne... ;) I guess guys my age just don't see what you see because we knew Detroit before the new stadiums, before the casinos, and even before they redid the Fox/State. If you think you've seen real change in the city or your friends do, you should have seen it from

Oh one other thing I forgot... You can set your network share as a "media server" (that term could be wrong, the thing that indexes your content) and it will never loose the connection no matter who the master browser is.

If the focus of your streaming is video you have housed on a box at home the WDTV is your best bet. It pretty much sucks at everything else, but playing videos without the need to transcode is the one reason I have 2 of them.

The WDTV will play anything without the need to stream video to it and that is one thing it does better than anything else listed (and why I have 2 of them). It's kind of ridiculous to list that these devices in the will play your videos when that isn't the case at all, often times you have to recapture it in another

We all expected there to be problems, especially when their load testing was a disaster both times they tried it in the final weeks. I find it strange that none of these articles mention the fact that the people who were contacted to help load test had the exact same problems people are having now.

Let me get this straight... Answering a question (truth or lie) in a stressful situation causes stress? Crazy talk!

It depends on the time of day, but generally I see 36-51 down on a 50 link.

I've had numerous home windows broken that were tinted and the tint was the only reason my house wasn't full of glass. Sure a couple runs of tape isn't going to help much, but if you cover it or at least the vast majority of it, it will help to hold it in place or fall out and stay together rather than glass blowing

I'm a bit confused... How is it controlling the icons in a users start menu is now magically different than controlling it in Metro? The experience isn't all that much different.

Right, it's OK because everyone else does it...

"It's not just here too" Yea...

Damn I don't have the link! Luckily someone else I know does :p

Beer koozie, Zippo, and sunglasses. Sure my tech might be dated, but after being in IT for 16 years the idea is to turn back the clock and unplug ;)

Things like this are perfect for accounts that don't really matter and by that I mean accounts outside of my bank account. For everything else I would be on board in a second. If someone wants to hack into my Slashdot account I'll live.

I wasted enough of my life cleaning up after Yahoo search bars (at times 20 all running at once) on peoples computers for Yahoo to land on my blacklist...
