Blahblahblahblahblah...

Welcome.  Your credentials and background seem encouraging.  There is a lot of work that need to be done at Jalopnik.  Good luck.  As a 10+ year reader, I long for this site to return to glory.

It is definitely not light reading!

Niki Lauda’s “The Art and Science of Grand Prix Racing”. It is three times as nerdy and technical as it sounds. I recommend it!

This is a very interesting piece, thank you for sharing it!  I especially appreciate the lack of snarky, petulant commentary about today’s Bugatti, Winkelmann or the VAG.  Thanks for sticking to the high road.

Point to the place on this doll where Bugatti touched you, Bradley.

“A girl on my swim team was promised the choice between a new Model S, 5 series, and Bronco as her first car. She wanted a convertible and got a 8 series. As her first car!”

This scrolling article format is incredibly annoying.  Kill it with fire.

Who in their right mind is going to get on a cruise ship any time soon?

Did you know that Steely Dan’s first drummer was Chevy Chase?

Jack Nicklaus is one of the most famous people on the planet, even today.  His celebrity was enormous in the 80s, golf or otherwise.  Nothing at all surprising about him endorsing a product.

I’m partial to the Mk 1 Audi TT’s baseball glove leather interior.

I’ve always thought Prost seems like a total jerk.

I found my copy of Niki Lauda’s “The Art and Science of Grand Prix Driving” the other day.  If you want to take a deep dive into some extremely technical and nerdy information, pick up a copy!

A virtual MAGA rally.

I didn’t say it was successful.

The car’s design is based on the theory that the additional two wheels would increase the overall contact patch for the tyres and reduce aerodynamic drag due to the smaller tyres and therefore improve performance.

VAG is moving nearly 8 million vehicles per year in the US.  Your comment is reflective of your opinion, not anything factual.

On the upside, they almost certainly improved reliability.

Porsche isn’t positioning the Taycan as a Tesla competitor, but it will steal some of Tesla’s sales.  And as far as VAG not being competitive in the US, they are the world’s biggest car manufacturer and already compete very successfully everywhere.
