Apologies for the long post and the rambling, but here goes:

Three years ago, when I was like 60 lbs heavier than now I cut my hair into a pixie (I was commiserating with my mom, who had just started chemo) and it looked great then and it looks great now. Anyone can rock a pixie. My mom is in remission and she’s rocking one now, too.

Pixies forever!!! I started my first in third grade and occasionally have grown my hair but it’s pathetic. I stand by my pixie! Now and forever. And since I’ve done it blonde, my friends’ kids think I’m Tinkerbell.

It’s good to be realistic about the changes and challenges. But being real, your sleep and life are only temporarily gone. My kids are 8 and 6 and they sleep all night and get up in the morning and make themselves oatmeal and get dressed. And it took no time to get here, or so it seems. We are having a surprise third…

It will be okay. Your sleep will be wrecked but it will recover fairly easily. There will be a huge change on everything but you will deal. The only thing is to watch for anything outside of norms and not be afraid to advocate for your health as well.

So adorable! Pixies can look great on anyone with the right one. I google pixies on “fat women” and saw some great cuts and boss ass women.

I say this with love. You need to be the one to make the call. Those nuggets deserve better than that. They are helpless. Right now, you have to be the adult that loves them enough to do the hard thing.
