The mech was originally designed for a robot fighting league with an animal theme. I'm guessing all the good ones were taken. ;)

Santa Olivia was great, the second book was kinda meh. I mean, it was OK, but I hoped for much more... Something. It was very fluffy, and just didn't pay off the first book well. A shame, as the main character pretty much hit every sweet spot I have. =) I will read this though and hope for the best!
Nah, it is the logical followup question. Even if the answer is just 'Making us think'. But the next step of any pure research discovery is the next guy who uses that discovery to Change The World. :)
I saw it like three times in theatres. I love that movie. It was so cheesey and awesome. :)
I don't even overly think full medical care for all is 'socialist' so much as 'humane'. I am not against capitalism, but there are some things that just shouldn't be about profit, and medicine is IMHO one of them. There are basic things (Health care, roads, infrastructure, crime and punishment, fire deptartments, etc)…
I am a dual US and Australian citizen, and I promise you there is nothing 'better' about the American system. There is nothing offered there that isn't offered here, only here, anyone can get it and it doesn't financially cripple you for life. No, America doesn't have some odd monopoly on care that would mean she can…
I just want to speak up as someone who's read the book and say you all should too! You can get it most everywhere (itunes, amazon, etc, etc) and it's a great read! And cookies for Anna for not plugging it harder here, so I will do it for her! ;)
Nokia e71. Still gets better call quality than my iphone, by far. For all that modern phones can play games, talk to you, gps, etc, the call quality sucks.
Spend a minute and a half on any right-wing site or show and you will see far, far worse things said, portrayed, and suggested explicitly about our current president, with nary a negative word to be said about it. But a barely even seeable background shot that happened to use a spare head mold from a previously, and…
As in, a person was driving it, not the company, and an accident that serious could be quite life threatening.
Odd, I found it in about 4 seconds. It's Fish for the Gods, not fisher, but plugging Easter Island into the kickstarter seach box pulled it right up, because as stated, the on-site search DOES show failures, just not ebay or the pages meant for finding and funding projects, where I would get irritated if failures were…
Fine, Jubilee. ;)
I think you just summed up Wicked Lasers' entire catalog and business plan.
The gunpowder smell would overdo it, and that much BOOM is going to scare every animal in a mile radius into hiding, really. That is a LOT of BOOM.
People who relaised two sticks that could still do many stick things were better than one stick that could only stick things, leading to sticky stick situations.
It is homeopatic vitamin c, making Dew the healthiest drink ever!
This just in: When you seal a rodent into Mountain Dew, it explodes.
That is what I loved about the original book, which I have read so many times since I was about 9. It was so overwhelmingly random. The enemy was truly alien and unstoppable. We were bugs in their way, at best slaves, at worst something to step on and be done. And then they just die, without our having anything to do…
That's what it WANTS you to think.
