It's not that ineffectual now that he needs to be told it doesn't work. It still works, it's just less effective. But if you're playing through the campaign with friends and want to play but don't want to advance the story, this place and the one in the Rocketyard are still really good.

What? Noooooo! The Kilo-Five books were awesome, tying together Ghosts of Onyx, Halo 3 and leading perfectly into Halo 4. The ONI stuff is fascinating, and the Kilo-Five team themselves deserve their own games.

Do read Karen Traviss' books, they pick up where Ghosts of Onyx and Halo 3 left off, awesome books. So much political detail and set up for Halo 4, it's fascinating.
