This happened to me once. Luckily I was on base and going ~20 MPH. Guy had the plow turned the wrong way. I had to open my sunroof to get out.

All the folks 2 hours away from me in the heart of gas country would love to hear about this “responsibly sourced” gas. It’s been a disaster for the long term residents. Torn up roads from the constant big rig traffic, ruined water supplies that the gas companies “bankrupted” themselves out of paying, and horrible…
I flew last week. First time since early 2020. Stopped in Charlotte (guess what airline I was on!) and while waiting for a gate, there was someone screaming his head off down the terminal.
I’m not siding with the driver, but considering the amount of online ordering, the number of delivery trucks on the road, the number of houses to deliver in a single day, and simply the overwhelming task of bringing packages to people, full well knowing the risk of:
a) Damaged goods (from the distribution centers)
b)…
I get shit for driving like a grandma in the snow in my truck and people just don’t get what you said about AT tires in the snow. Please forgive me for not wanting to send 5,500 lbs sliding into anyone around me. I’ll take my Subaru on on iPikes over a Raptor on K02s any snowy day.
In my experience (limited as it is), the “jerk mode” slider is engaged when the driver elects to purchase the Tesla in the first place.
Bingo. It is slow and shitty when all anyone wants is to double tap a button.
That is a different issue. That some judges let people off too lightly does not make mandatory minimums right. It means that there should be greater oversight on judges, and more means of rectification if they do consistently let certain types of criminal off too lightly. There are mechanisms for prosecutors to appeal…
Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail? Certainly.
Even when making a 3D render they couldn’t resist the tackiness of putting fake marble vinyl on everything.
You use marble for large expanses because the streaks break up the visual scale, while being close enough in colour and contrast that it isn’t jarring. Marble is associated with being expensive because you build…
So it is.... looks like he either had a short landing, or an issue on takeoff.
One they won’t win, I can already see 2023 DEF CON convention full of kids with presentations on how to hack a Toyota, who just wanted to make their moms garbage Highlander work right.
Oh snap, you’re right. That field is actually an airstrip.
Ultralights weigh under 254 pounds empty, carry 5 gallons of fuel, and top out at 63 mph in level flight. MidSize cars come in at over a ton and half, nearly 3 tons for big SUVs, carry about 15 gallons of fuel, and most can top a buck twenty for speed. WAY more energy in a car crash.
Not to mention all it will do is cause a huge market for ways to hack the system.
Oh boy are you about to be disappointed. Not only have I now written about counterweights, but I’ve also written about blue anodized wheel cylinders:
Just did a little research on my truck and the damper. They were not a factory installed item. They were part of a TSB for the 2004-2005 F-150, if the customer complained about vibrations coming from the rear of the truck, specifically “bed shake”.
