That’s a hard one when so many in a group are tied into it. I minimized it down to the level you were at for a few years until I completely deleted it two years ago. The groups I was in just weren’t that important to me anymore, too superficial.

If you work at any medium to larger company then you could probably look up IT security protocols or even alert the IT department. My wife did that at her work (for Whatsapp) and they locked that down real fast.
