If that’s the case, the single biggest polluter for greenhouse gases is the beef industry. That though may be an even tougher fight to win than taking away from cars.

That is true, it is much more capable in respect to base model. But when you do to this the base model, and people that buy base model either want to be economical or can barely afford what they are purchasing. These now “extra” features then become what the real estate world says will not increase equity, but are

Inflation is a bitch

And one has never been sold at MSRP.

Agreed. I would buy in now as it seems like an opportune time, but I don’t think the market is going to change it’s mind regarding Ford stock for a while.

This is the correct take. Why pay to advertise someone else’s brand and logo, especially if some car companies are actively suing customers if they don’t like your particular livery? (See also: Ferrari Hello Kitty Deadmau5 lawsuit)

Dave Ramsey can have some sage advise to the general public, but if you have good credit and don’t buy above your paygrade, car loans are some of the best loans on the market. My last one was 1.9%, with some all the way down to 0%. The money in that case is better placed in an investment portfolio and just pay a

This is a rational statement on the Automotive industry in general.  The risk to payoff in the stock is way more volatile than is generally written about or accepted, and to think we only learned this lesson last 10 years ago...

My first thought as well.  I’m sure engineers are way ahead of us on that front, but it would be interesting to find out their solution.

Just as a reminder, these are the ones with the crap keyboard.

Peak Ice you mean, amirite?!?

What would be great is when the bike industry gets a hold of it and is able to make tweaks to the compression.  I can see almost eliminating traditional suspension and getting tires that have effective rate of dampening, equivalent to 80-100-120-or 150mm of travel.  Heavier, yes, but if you could eliminate pneumatic

And because they are 70...

In Michigan it’s pretty much a known fact that you can drive safely without getting pulled over at SPEED LIMIT +5 to +8 mph. When that sleepy freeway went from 70 to 75 it’s like they installed the Autobahn between my house and cabin, for better or worse. Semi’s are still going 65 mph so the difference becomes acute

And it’s not illegal for the deaf to drive, so hearing isn’t usually considered essential to driving.  Helpful absolutely, but you can get from point A to B pretty safely without hearing.

Well, maybe killing the cars altogether will be a good idea in retrospect in the future. If they start building fully electric cars, do it from the ground up - don’t try to conform to a ICE platform and retrofit.

As a former Crosstrek owner (who loved the platform) and my wife who has the new Forester, I can say that your idea of putting the Forester engine into the Crosstrek would be a revelation.

My wife also has a ‘19 Forester. Thankfully you can disable many of those beeps. Just go into the Eyesight settings and disable as many as possible - it will drastically reduce beeps except for the more important lane-stray and emergency beeps.

I get the theory of taxation to offset and encourage the evolution of change to something greener and my personal kneejerk reaction would be for this. For travel this would be easy - at least where it makes sense as each trip is reset without significant investment. For things where you need significant investment to

4112, higher than I would have thought since it hasn’t had a post since November 4th.
