Define the question~!

I have an independent mechanic (and friend) that we go to exclusively. Every single time I have gone back to the dealer I have been screwed in one shape or another (looking at you Subaru for filing THREE separate claims to simply replace a windshield!).

Must have been a grandma’s car.

Basically, what is the optimization point of that string?

Absolutely too many variables, but you can approximate most vehicle classes by reducing to averages: miles driven, maintenance costs, depreciation, cost, MPG, etc. From there it can be split by car, SUV, truck, etc. If you really want to get deep without getting lost into the weeds maybe split by region of US, ie

That would actually be a great future post following the depreciation curve after buying new to get the most efficient price/mile or /month before hitting reliability or prohibitive maintenance costs and recouping on remaining value of the car.

Now that the big boys are out to play in the EV field for real, it seems the EV startups should be licencing and selling their tech instead of figuring out how to make vehicles. It’s hard to make a car, so let the car makers do it. Let startups spend research dollars to figure out electric drivetrain and storage

Not a mistake, they sign you up for Amazon Music Unlimited for $7.99/month and then you get the Dot for $0.99.

People are rejecting the word because it is rarely if ever used. For instance, I can’t remember the last time I have seen or heard the word “whence”.

I hope you have your tight white polos pressed!

They did up the weekly UAW salary to $275 this week, a small bump I guess.

So, bars of the future will look like a Radwood festival devoid of fancy future-tech.  Interesting...

That is China import sales of Tesla.  When they get their China plant online they may see the same luxury change we are seeing here.

Sounds like the AC/DC transformer pack design flaw, something that would be bypassed with direct DC charging. So, flaw yes.

Cadillac has been using that marketing idea for a while now and they are fin......

4th Gear:

That is all very true. Although, in both Tesla and Cadillac’s approach they are actively investigating how to take over driving completely - so in those active driving programs I don’t really consider them just safety features. They are more of a beta software/hardware package to teach our future robot overlords to

The steering is definitely something to get used to. Upgraded our Crosstrek that was in the “goldilocks zone” and got a ‘19 Forester with active steering control. Feels like I am constantly fighting against a strong wind, but if I let go of my grip - just a little - it drives better.

Perfection!

...and a full engine removal to change out the inevitable timing chain...
