Well, it looks like Rivian is at least partially Ford. And Ford is working with them as well as VW for a working electric truck model. It’s only 3-4 years out. Pricing will be higher, but Rivian is at $55-70k with 400 mile range. Fill ups will be only about $4 electric, and most work trucks don’t travel long enough to

Actually, Stephen and Robbie are cousins.

There are a number in the Metro Detroit area.  I have seen more than one using their juice getting on US23.

I am talking the great majority of cars - not ones where you have a monthly fee to use something built in.

More useful and enabled on Android phones, useful to connect simply to things. For iPhone, think how Apple Pay works via proximity.

People do like nice round numbers.

As others have described, engines in the ‘40's where designed a lot different than today.  The main bearings were always dipped in the oil at the upper level where if you filled higher it would just leak out.  Too low and the bearing would dry up pretty fast, never fill it to the bearing level and the engine would

If he is 45, he is about 15 years out of boomer territory, deeply embedded in the “Gen X’ers” - if you believe in pidgeonholing people with that sort of thing in the first place.

Honda has stated that aerodynamics improve on the side-line by 90%, that means more range.

AWD does help, but snow tires work better in the winter months...

I second this.  We are both nurses in northern clime with pets and couldn’t be happier with the new Forester.  28.5 mpg so far with AWD and room, couldn’t really ask for more.

We picked up a ‘19 Forester in January, after break-in and finally getting summer gas we are in the 28.5 range city, that is within spitting distance of our old Crosstrek at 31 mpg.  Pretty good for a taller vehicle.

No actually. A lot of the kids in the K-12 program did learn some during their original run, but like most things it was more complicated. They would still remember a lot of classtime activities, concepts, and some learning ideas even though the class was the previous year, but it had more to do with just not doing

Flipped classrooms can be great when set up appropriately and targeted to the right students. I know from my time as a teacher that mention of “Khan Academy” or K-12 (much more popular in schools) is not about embracing this philosophy of adding to the classroom as much as it is removing from the classroom.

I like how it is available “nowhere”.  Still NP!

It’s habit, just like plugging in a phone.

It was financed by BP, so...

Actually it would be 9 million as the next 3 years are predicting 18 million cars produced (and be essentially flat sales - no growth) according to IHS.

I agree, and I am actually fine with that. Autonomous driving, safety standards, and electric drivetrains are incredibly complex and it would be nice to pool resources to get a super stable and secure system rather than the janky things some auto manufactures are doing today. We are already seeing this happen, Subaru

The one big difference between cars and airplanes is the potential customer base. Airline sales are measured in the hundreds per year, automobiles are in the millions - along all classes of customers. If you can buy and build off the shelf equipment there will be a niche to scratch and small companies may be able to
