Not that I'm aware of... Most of the car's I tried so far, you could start the car, activate the heated seats and go brush off the snow, and the seats would heat up in the meantime.

Some cars also start them when you remote-start the vehicle. Those are the best.

The problem is when you have them on a car because they were bundled with something else. Once you get used to it, you just can't buy another car without them.

Does anyone makes heated shift knob as OEM equipment?

It's one of those little things that once you made the mistake of having in a car, you won't be able to live without.

Installing a new one might be too expensive, but swapping the passenger one to the driver's side might be more cost-effective...

The ''who cares'' crowd lives in area where a ''frigid'' temperature is -5 fahrenheit.

people in colder area learned that heated seats are now part of our necessities.

Leather (or vinyl) seats don't NEED them either. But they are a welcome addition nonetheless.

We were at -14 fahrenheit this morning (-24 in my native celsius) in Montreal.

I enjoyed having heated seats, heated steering wheel and a Volvo with a VERY efficient heater core.

No one would get out of our respective cars to meet up, though.

And the guy with the third-row minivan with heated seats everywhere would be king.

Plus, while all those little explosions in the cylinders are making heat, that heat is being transferred to the coolant, which is then being piped through the heater core, which then can be blown into the passenger compartment so your lovely ass doesn't shatter like an ice sculpture shoved by a drunk bridesmaid. It can't be very hard hitting that number... a supercharger, few engine management tweaks....

What?! isn't a lighter car supposed to go fast with less power?

Pipes, floorboards, everything that should not touch the ground.

Amazingly, his feet never moved from said boards.

This mill is torquey as hell in the regular Indian cruiser.

It must haul ass in this minimalistic bike.

Is that a reference to Skyactiv?

Don't know about you, but I need to feel 707 horses being sent to obliterate rear tires before I die:

I went for the website prize in Canada, but you probably can get one for less than that in a dealer.

and Si may be faster, but it doesn't ride as good, is noisier and has much sportier seats. Good for fun in the twisties, but if you want a car for highway commute, I'd argue that the Accord coupe is better.

Couterpoint: For the same amount of money, it's better to buy a base-model of a better car than a fully-loaded lower vehicle.

Example: a loaded (non SI) civic coupe is 27 700. For this money, you can get a base-model Accord coupe.

Sure, it doesn't have leather, navigation or LED headlights, but you still get a larger,

I read ''the Express' ability to haul ass.
