I remember the alternative fuel and several concepts were doing them at the time so for graduation I managed to disguise a presentation on concept cars as a presentation on alternative fuels & the environment!
I liked that the concept brought the idea forward of trying to hide the rear doors, somewhat, which they sort of did, albeit in a different way.
Strong point, I guess as someone who's had each generation (including the 70s-93) I liked the fact that it kept it's boldest characteristics from 94+, but it's true sometimes lack of change can be a bad thing.
I'd like to know why you didn't invite me along! ;-)
The Outdoorsman/Sport trims probably age the worst, largely because of the painted grille (i.e. no chrome accents) which leave it with very little difference from the 2009-2012s. The only real difference is the slightly large grille (instead of flat on flat bumper) and the fogs rotating 90 degrees.
My sarcasm detector is off-line so I'll say besides the obvious EcoDiesel bage the foglights rotated 90 degrees in 2013, the grew grille and isn't flat on the bottom, and color over black two-tone (used to be gray) are all 2013 or later changes.
I actually worked at the company that did the weather graphics for the movie(on the radar and stuff, not to be confused with special effects), we had a few Twister and Jurassic Park posters and toys around the office.
As much as it saddens me to liken Chrysler cars to the level of Ford, the approach of Dodge being the performance brand just makes me gitty. I only wish Pontiac were still around to enter a horsepower war with them.
We did it for a few reasons, interest rates stink everywhere (hence the quotation marks around "high") but we liked the idea of tossing the piggy bank into an account that was outside of our banks, easy to setup/access, and the interest rate is something like .75% vs. .03% I get in my current savings account.
Just got it back today. We have a "high" interest online savings account that has been dubbed the catching spot for extra cash towards our wedding/honeymoon. Since we're on the planning stretch now, I guess tickets to Hawaii might be it!
Just curious do we know what the stats on these one-offs actually being produced? Seems like so many cool concepts I get excited about and never see again. Admittedly I am reluctant to get excited about this one for the same reason...
