When we were looking at first generation Nissan Leafs one of the selling points was free charging and free coffee at the dealer. Sales guy said they had a number of people who took them up on it. We charged out 2020 Leaf at the dealer once while they were ripping up our street and could not get access to the garage.…
Depends. With the built-to-order/reduced inventory model that manufacturers and dealers have been using to push up prices, a lot of these guys are going to have a lot of empty real estate that used to hold acres of cars.
Obviously, but if we get to a point where 50 or 100% of new cars are EV’s they are going to need them for service and prior to selling. OEM’s are just forcing the dealers to be ready instead of letting them get ready on their own and then not doing it.
Chargers should go where people would naturally spend a half hour or so. Like stores, restaurants, malls, downtown shopping districts, trail heads, entertainment venues, and of course truck stops/restaurants/coffee shops along major highways/travel routes. Nobody wants to spend time at a dealership - it’s probably…
So my mom and dad’s way of dealing with high beams behind them. Aka how they went to jail on their honeymoon for a couple hours.
“And then you’ve got the mouth breathers driving around in their lifted trucks/jeeps with the aftermarket LED light bar on for no reason.”
What do I think? He’s doing the NYPD and NY Sheriff’s work. And bless him and that person who was behind the Placard Abuse twitter showing how city employees - including NYPD/NYCSO officers and deputies - use the placards to block sidewalks, bike lanes, traffic lanes, and hydrants in their personal vehicles.
i hope all those people who have heavily tinted license plate covers get rodknock due to oil starvation
I misread this as Andrew Zimmern and got completely lost for a sec.
I still think traffic cameras should be illegal so obscure your plate all you want.
If you’re on a public road, you’re subject to public scrutiny. Just because you think it’s OK that you commit a crime doesn’t mean you’re going to get away with it.
It’s actually the “no snitching” that’s causing this. Many municipal employees, firefighters, cops etc. doing this, so by non-enforcement of this they are basically looking out for their own.
These people are skipping tolls too. You should care. All this does is raise your road and gas tax due to the lost revenue from these free riders.
The NYPD can’t be bothered because it’s cops and cop family pulling this shit.
“What snitches deserve”?
I live in a city which is covered by cameras. There are still some drivers who cover up their plates and they are always the most aggressive and disrespectful on the road. If they get busted then I’d be happy. I’m not sure it’s some guys job to do that, but if I had to choose a side to back it would be the narc this…
Lets be clear, it is a “journalist” that is publicizing intentional acts of FRAUD.
Real criminals don’t do ticky tack shit like take their license plates. These people are just shitbags trying to get away with flouting traffic rules. Fuck them, he’s right. If you are so bad at driving that you have to edit your plate to keep from paying fines, fuck you and stop driving.
He’s exposing a massive corrupt part of NYC - their employees.
