Dude, you’re doing yeoman’s work for the oil companies here by calling it a tax, when it isn’t.

If this fee wasn’t instituted by a local or state government, it’s not a tax. It’s just oil companies sneakily hosing everyone but they call it a “fee” so they can say the base price hasn’t changed.

I would like to hear the excuse from the meter officer as to why they skipped those cars for tickets.... The Parking Police in LA are generally ruthless and chalk tires on the regular and ticket if you are there 1 second beyond the allotted time on the signs.....

I would think the *owners* of the fancy cars would be less than thrilled about having them parked on the street. If I knew a shop was doing that with my car I wouldn’t be taking my car there.
