I cringe when I see squishy humans wearing earbuds while running or biking on roads. This has been discussed elsewhere, so I won't talk about it.

This would have been awesome a couple years ago. Now some smart individual would just use a data-based voice service to make calls on the train. Google Voice, anyone?
I can't remember exactly, but I had that Panasonic in the ad or something very similar to it. I got it in 1995, when I was stationed at the Navy base in Orlando. If I didn't have that, I'd be communicating via pay phone! And it came in handy when I was on the road.
There's the other explanation, that grog was used to ensure the water supply on board was drinkable. Drinking weeks-old water was a risky proposition without a ample dollop of rum to kill all the nasties.
They couldn't even keep the queue integrated? Unless they're selling the DVD unit fast, they really need to keep this around. This move will only increase the revenue drain from the DVD by mail unit, as they'll lose subscriber fees. Brute force moves like this do work occasionally, shaping user behavior after the…
"What more could you want?"
All the cool kids take the Taconic. The lower section has good twisties. Just watch out for the drunken woman driving the wrong way in her minivan!
I can't see the Macintosh having anywhere near the importance on publishing (or society) as the Gutenberg printing press. It's useful, it's user friendly, and the idea has brought forth imitators and improvements, but the mouse was already out there and someone would have produced a product similar to Apple in the…
Although this is a little different, I work at a restaurant on the beach with live music every night and get asked, "Why does menu item X cost so much?" I'd love to sit them down and ask them:
Used merchandise is non-returnable. And boy, has she been used. Sorry!
That bike is an absolute nut-buster. However cool the rest of the frame might appear, nobody would ride something with a top tube that high (anymore, some old frames had that design flaw). I'd dread each and every red light along my ride.
Since this antenna is hemispherical, does that mean it's directional? That wouldn't be a great feature...
I have reservations about this "we can filter it" stuff. Whether it is bioremediation or super sand, you still need to dispose of the contaminated filter sometime. I guess it just costs less money and makes more of a resource available. Of course you could just try not to spread contamination in the first place.
I don't think any of us think Canucks fans started the riots. But there were many scores of hockey fans there, and they could have been 'friendly and polite' and passed on by and asked the anarchists to stop in a mild-mannered way. They didn't. They decided to cause trouble as well.
1) I thought Canadians (and others) had a sense of humor. Do you not obviously notice the snarky title of this post? This is standard for Gawker blogs. Whiners go over there ——>
Maybe when I get some inspiration, I'll make an OKCupid account. PlentyofFish is bottom-barrel scraping it seems. It could be my area, though. Long Island is generally not known for producing people with quality personalities. My apologies to the non-stereotypical Long Islanders and people on pof. Just generalizing.
I wouldn't need Thrillist. I live on Long Island, which has 3 million people. What's happening? Nothing. Things to do? Zero. The local alternative weekly has nothing to suggest on some nights.
How do I know this survey is a fake? No Wegmans. Wegmans is the happiest place on Earth. Not Disney, not North Korea, not the US. Wegmans. For those in the US near one of those supermarkets, you know what I'm talking about...
Swedish Chef is married? With his success at cooking, he needs a wife to put food on the table!
Not this generation of 5-series, says the article. How hard could it be to change from EU-spec to NA-spec for a platform that was already designed with the North American market in mind?
