It’s not easy to turn down 100 million, most people don’t care if it’s sketchy or not.

I think that's the point. Weird example, but if the mafia comes to you with a job offer your rebuttal can be "is the work legal?"

Here let me help you:

So then why did so many high-profile celebrities fall for this shit?

It’s not easy to turn down 100 million, most people don’t care if it’s sketchy or not.

I’d say this, but doing due diligence is what she probably actually did. She seems rather conservative (in the traditional sense of the word) about her endorsements, so she probably just has her lawyers do some research and let them figure out that FTX is/was a total shitshow.

we have to reward good behavior to encourage it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would read same offense aa encompassing “same occurrence”. In other words, I think they could be expelled again on the same legal bases, but not for the exact same instance. Does that make sense?

They aren’t stupid, they just know that their words are meaningless and everything they do is in service of maintaining power, so they say whatever they want because they know their target audience will believe it without question regardless of how overtly wrong it is.

If 80% of people are watching ‘reality’ programming, that explains a lot about this country

So, basically they’re taking the existing HBO Max, shoveling a lot of additional content onto it that an enormous percentage of HBO viewers probably don’t want, and now charging a $4 a month surcharge for the 4K streams that are currently included. Great. I swear, the streaming services are in a conspiracy to try and

You’re getting a worse service for the same price... Currently $15.99 give you add free HBO with 4k. Now you lose 4K and get Dr. Pimple Popper. Who asked for this...
