I don't think they're looking for a fancy new PSU for their Mac. XD They're almost certainly using Linux.

NINE NINE!

That’s why I’m liking Terry Crews more and more all the time.

In the “interview”—which was picked up by a number of news sites, including our own—Johnson supposedly defamed the members of “generation snowflake” in a generally un-Rock-like fashion, being quoted as saying that “this generation are looking for a reason to be offended.”

“Meanwhile, The Daily Star’s story continues to be up on the paper’s site; the organization has been sued for (and settled over) libel charges a number of times over the years, but it’s still baffling that they thought they could get away with allegedly straight-up inventing an interview with one of Earth’s most

TKTK SUCCINCT SUMMARY OF WHAT CG WAS DOING”

This happened to me before. I was in my favorite pub, came out and saw that my car was gone. I told a nearby police officer that my car was just stolen.

“ department said it was “working ... to address her concerns.”

Well that wasn’t my argument, but you yourself illiterate in advance I guess.

I would argue that that is the exact reason it IS more interesting. That these games weren’t designed for serious competitive play, and that a whole culture has formed around these games and making that work.

Well, you certainly know what “obtuse” means...

If someone handed you a gun they’d designed and told not to take it seriously as a deadly weapon, that wouldn’t mean it’s not a deadly weapon. The the work isn’t spoken for by the author. The work speaks for itself.

Smash is in essence just as skill-based as any other fighting game. Simpler than most when it comes to inputs, but more complex than most because mobility plays a much greater role.

As an outside observer, I’m just wondering why this is the hill upon which you’ve chosen to die.

Just curious, why? It's a very technical fighting game with a low barrier to entry but a high skill cap. It's satisfying to play and there is a lot of depth to the comboing, both of which keep people coming back. I wouldn't understand something like Mario kart getting competitive due to the handicaps and neutralizing

Sakurai said this through Brawl, but Nintendo has backed way off that stance since Wii U and the patches they issue cater to the competitive community primarily. So even if your opinion had meaning in the old days, it’s no longer applicable.

I’ve got good news! You don’t have to understand.  If you actually want to understand in good faith, be polite and there are many people who will educate you.  If you don’t want to, you can just move along and stop bothering people.

Think of a casual football fan, they never play the actual game in person but understand enough to watch it. Not good enough to play at the highest level.

So on Friday Kotaku says that Wolf is dominating so I start learning Wolf. Then yesterday Polygon says that King K Rool is dominating so I pick up K Rool. Now Kotaku says Peach is the best and suddenly I remembered that I am not a Smash pro and I mostly only enjoy playing as Ness and the internet is weird.

Items hardly qualifies as “most” of the features of the game. And “excellent” is subjective if making the game more competitive is the intent, which is what we’re arguing about.
