I think the first point is made better in the succinct way she did. And she probably didn’t have the time to make a wordier, more serious appeal like that. I’m sure Louis of all people can appreciate the power of a joke in making a point.

The answer to all that and more re: Louis CK is “because he could”. Which is why this heckle was so great. He doesn’t give a fuck if you ask him how he could put people in a situation.

Kinda like if you are a classically trained fighter, and you get into a bar fight that someone else started, you can still be charged with assault with a deadly weapon for those fists.

I still think police and politicians should face multipliers on their convictions, because they are in positions of power and we have no choice but to trust them. So if a crime normally carriers a 5 years sentence for a normal, powerless citizen, for a police officer or politician, it should get multiplied by 2.
