It’s not a dumb association when the word is literally spelled out, random or not.

Sir, have you tried this novel approach called shoving your garbage opinion up your ass?

This is a good comment.

Also this chicken tax would’ve hurt me personally had it been place for my last car purchases, a japanese made Honda Fit with very high Japan made parts content. My $17,000 car would’ve become a $21,250 car (and that’s with no markup beyond the tariff), that’s a HUGE difference.

Trump does plenty of dumb shit, but IMO, this (the Chicken Tax debate) is not a good fight to pick. It’s not hard to make an argument for the Chicken Tax if you ignore all externalities... Which you can absolutely count on his base to do:

It’s funny because when he started his presidency, Jalopnik would occasionally write some very valid posts about things Trump is doing that negatively impact the auto industry, and there were a LOT of very vocal Jalopnik commenters whining about how “the libs” are just trying to find things wrong with Trump and should

The Republican Party: Now raising taxes!

His supporters will find a way to love this.

Why does guessing incorrectly allow you to punish the pledgemaster?

Wait... what? I’m sorry, the last few years have completely borked my sarcasm detector... the cereal thing is real? I thought the “name breakfast cereals” was a joke. That’s... real? And it stems from one of them eating cereal with piss? And that stems from a HamNo piece?

We’re talking about a group founded by a guy who pissed in his cereal and ate it because HamNo told him to. I imagine the people who would follow that guy are capable of a staggering level of stupidity.

Why are you knocking butters stotch? He’s a very proud little boy. Just a bit lonely.

What did butterscotch ever do to you?

I love Tesla, but at this point, I’m much more apt to believe that Musk is saying whatever it takes make him look like a hero, rather than believe his words outright.

Not a lawyer. I think the term is “gross negligence”. The contract doesn’t protect the shop because their action of the employee (illegal u-turn) is clearly “grossly negligent”.

I was always under the impression that those signs in valet lots and impound lots and at auto shops and whatnot that say “we are not liable, yadda yadda yadda” don’t actually hold any water from a legal standpoint. That’s what I was always told, anyway. Or at least what I’ve read online before.

its cool, happens to everyone.  I wasn’t trying to catch you in a mistake.  I’m a techie type person but for some reason I have a huge blind spot when it comes to cell phones and how they work.  I’ve felt lately that my battery (granted a soon to be 2yo phone) life was getting short and wanted to try this out to help

Yeah, the sale prices are still a joke. In a year or two start looking on the dyson outlet store on ebay for refurb V10 models. We have an older V6 model that was like 25% of retail new and works great for what we use it for.
