It seems clear to me based on the review posted earlier that Gyllenhaal's character jumps right into the train without knowing why. He doesn't know he's on a mission until after the train blows up and he wakes up in a control room or whatever.

I thought the Swiss were supposed to be neutral.
Finally, I have just the thing to make my Quantum Leap reboot fan-intro.
@daschupa: There can't be many of us that could even make that comparison.
@Plague: sick burn.
I liked Deja Vu a lot more than I thought I would. I guess I'm just amenable to time travel stories, no matter how ridiculous. I also viewed it as the end of a long "Groundhog Day"/"That one X-files episode with the exploding bank"/"Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" type situation, which helped.
I will help.
In the universe where KOTOR II was allowed to be finished properly, you are very happy.
Today people learned a great deal about the similarities of semitic languages and religious practice.
I'm starting to notice a theme in your comments.
a) You have a point, but I still don't like it. Why was this one small, cut-off squad able to do what they did? And the movie does hint that the action was unprecedented — the officer that debriefed Nantz said that every army in the world was being told about it. It's not that there are no examples of small units…
I thought the movie was okay, but that's mostly because I really wanted to like it.
Now that I think of it as Imperial Guard: The Movie, it's great.
I haven't heard anything about musical updates. Maybe it's just my natural pessimism, but I'm not getting my hopes up that they overhauled the music. That's an awfully expensive proposition, and I don't think a handheld game is going to get that kind of attention.
Oh, sure, just start stacking things in new ways. What's the worst that could happen?
Ugly? Or TOTALLY RAD?
At least he's enjoying himself
James Lipton needs the money.
