I had no idea that the Tingle game looked that good. It seems to have a lot of cool things going on. Now I want to play it. If only it wasn't based on Nintendo's most effective "troll" character to date.

I love Zelda fandom for just that reason. I recognize that, at most, there's only a tenuous link (heh) between the games, it's fun to try to piece together a continuity.
I'll read Fringe articles on io9 every now and then, so I think I have a bit of a grasp on the characters and what the show is up to at that particular moment.

Except that's not what you do. You try to convert them to your religion. You turn them into slave labor. You trade with them. Yeah, sometimes genocide happens, but generally people do not go to a new place with the sole intention of wiping out the indigenous population for kicks.
When I was little, I liked comic books and cartoons about superheroes, but I still wanted Terminator 2 action figures. Kids like cool stuff (or else stuff somebody tells them is cool).
@Protector one: I thought the same thing.
@K3nnyBoy: That's my point. There should be the leeway to distinguish between "Game of the Year" and "Best Game."
Let us take a moment to recall the Yoshi Box of Yesteryear.
There's no reason for "Game of the Year" to be synonymous with "Best Game of the Year."
Apparently that is one of humanity's oldest sentiments.
2 steps forward, 1 step back.
