Um, isn't the warp drive thing that NASA is working on (linked in this article) FASTER THAN LIGHT TRAVEL? And doesn't it move space rather than the ship? And doesn't the article here on Gizmodo say that it wouldn't have any of the problems associated with light speed travel?

Perhaps they put an anti-reflective coating over the sapphire glass this time? Those tend to give a purple/blueish tint to watch crystals at certain angles.
