It is not difficult to make hardware that is technically superior to the Nintendo Switch. It uses a last generation mobile chip (a generation ago). The difficult part is selling it at a profit and delivering sufficient content to drive sales.

A general purpose processor can be programmed to be indistinguishable from the equivalent chip logic. When you program hardware to behave like other hardware, that is called emulation. FPGA emulation is not fundamentally different from other forms of emulation.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was saying that Peach and a crown is better than Mario and a hat.
Yes, the original Analogue Nt was a reproduction of the Nintendo.
I feel like a much more successful Mario Odyssey spinoff game could be made out of this concept...
The Analogue NT Mini is not a remade NES console. It does not contain a 6502 chip or equivalent. It is a hardware based emulator that uses a FPGA to emulate the original hardware. It is still technically software emulation. A program is loaded on the FPGA each time the system starts.
How do you quantify the difference? What are they? My $60 rice cooker has fuzzy logic. It doesn’t ever produce bad rice. If the rice that comes out of my machine is good, how much better is the rice out of a more expensive one?

You should.
When I make bacon, I cut the whole pack of bacon in half. Eating two half pieces of bacon feels more satisfying than eating a whole piece. I feel half pieces are also easier to manage when cooking and fit on a sandwich better. Plus, my griddle is properly sized to cook half a pound of thick cut bacon without crowding.
I’m kinda bummed with VA-11 HALL-A. I searched and searched the internet for an explanation of the game mechanic and was disappointed when I found that it was a visual novel. Calling it a “cyberpunk bartending game” bothers me.
I had a hard time buying a good rice cooker. I’ve decided that I’d spend twice as much as the last one. I had a 30$ rice cooker for years, so I upgraded to a $60 model. It’s a T-Fal, and it produces better rice than my original. Maybe in 5 years when it breaks, I’ll spend $120 on a rice maker. Maybe it’ll do better…

I used to rock Rosewill MX Brown keyboards, but the mini USB port that you used to attach the keyboard kept failing. It would pull off the circuit board. The quality of the PCB made it very difficult to repair (I consider myself reasonably capable with a soldering iron). I still have one at my office at work which is…

Why use wasabi paste AND horseradish? The stuff you bought in the grocery store is just green horseradish.
This is all kayfabe.
My dad mapped the entire game, on graph paper. He had it hanging on our basement wall. He also had the entire Dragon Warrior game mapped. He loved mapping games. He had maps to every dungeon in The Bard’s Tale and full maps of dozens of Eamon games. It was really boring watching him play games because he never…
I had an amazing pork chop yesterday. I fried it in a mix of olive oil and butter with rosemary for about 8 minutes per side at a medium low heat (hot enough to carmelize, but not hot enough to burn the rosemary), then into the oven til the internal temp was 135. Let sit for minutes, and cut in. Was awesome.

I’ve got a V6. I’ve had to repair the shell a couple of times with epoxy, cuz it kept cracking and I’ve replaced the battery once. It’s a good vacuum that I got for $200 (Sears open box discount after xmas one year). I would totally buy the new one, if it wasn’t stupid expensive. Dyson vacuums are nice, but not worth…
