I understand, but that is stupid logic. The small appliance impulse buyer market is more than an order of magnitude larger than the ultra-wealthy gimmic buyer market. More money could have been made targeting that demographic.

This is a whole lot of marketing fluff. Using a FPGA vs a general purpose processor doesn’t make the emulation any more or less accurate. Both are dependant on the programming for an accurate emulation.
It does not use the same hardware as an SNES. It does use emulation, it does it via a FPGA, instead of using a general purpose CPU. There is no real advantages to doing it this way, as it does not require significant computing resources to emulate the SNES hardware.

For my son(6), I have an adblock, and an extension that limits his time at websites I identify. He’s limited to 1 hour of Youtube a day. I haven’t seen much need for anything else. He doesn’t visit many different websites though, and my desk is right next to his, so it’s pretty easy to monitor his usage.
This isn’t new. There are a few other companies that beat Google to it. Google is THE tech company, and with their weight, it’s bound to go somewhere.
