It was a metaphor...

Free storage isn't free storage. It's like letting you live in a giant house rent free for a year and you get comfortable and put tons of furniture in it and then they tell you you can't live rent free anymore and you can either pay the rent or move into a tiny studio and toss all your furniture.

Free temporary storage is not that good of a thing, unless you would actually pay for that storage today.

I don't have much issue with "Cheater" DLC or "Skin Pack" DLC. They can monetize the crap outta those things. I couldn't care how many outfits, skins, hats, etc they sell, as long as they don't affect the gameplay. "Cheater" DLC can be offensive when the game is made in a way where it's not fun to play without the DLC.

This was a good article. I think one of the most valuable parts of self improvement is learning how to admit to yourself that you were wrong, and that's ok, and you can change your mind.

I don't have a nomination, but I would share my approach. I use a french press to make tea. Toss your loose tea in the press, fill with water and steep. then press down the press half way (don't want to squeeze the tea outta the leaves), and pour your cup. Depending on what kinda tea I'm making, I'll pour it all into

Qualifiers like "Barely used" or "like new" are red flags.

Yep, that is where I got the idea. I'm gonna give vinegar boiled baked fries a whirl this week and see how they compare. I've been using the serious eats method for my fried fries for some time and I love em.

That recipe involves a 3 minute par-boil. Very different than the 20+ minutes in a vinegar par-boil that I'm considering. I bought some potatoes and I'm gonna give it a whirl tomorrow.

That was far more cringe worthy than the lack of forethought regarding potential abuse for the donation announcer.

If you go with the 1tbsp vinegar to 1qt water, you can boil em for 20+ minutes and completely cook them through without them dissolving.

I always par-boil my deep fried fries (unless I'm seriously hungry for fries and in a hurry where I just go with the standard double fry). Serious Eats did a pretty awesome article on it a while back. Process was par-boil in vinegar water to cook em through, fry for a minute, freeze, 4+ hours, then fry for 3 minutes.

This got me thinking if par-boiled french fries would produce superior oven fries as well...

Reading their "Why Early Access?" pitch, I am very tempted to involve myself. These guys are doing early access right. They've got a game that is basically done and just needs more content and they've got a timeline they're following with enough extra time to explore feedback from the community.

The scale is a useful tool. You just need to make a point to avoid variances. I weigh myself when I wake up after I've done my thing in the bathroom. If you are having problems with the numbers it's giving you, don't blame the scale, it was just doing it's job.

There is a huge difference between All-Clad's Triple Ply pans and these cheaply made chinese pans that Emeril shills.

The Emeril All-Clad pans are NOT triple ply pans. They have aluminum bases just like every single other cheap stainless steel pan. They are not All-Clad quality and are not worth buying. They look like All-Clad pans, but they are not. For a similar price you can get Cuisinart Multi-Clad pans which would serve you much

This boggles my mind that we'd be arguing to keep hoarding social accounts.

If you can do so, a whole house humidifier is a much better option than a room humidifier. We installed one in late fall and my wife hasn't complained about dry skin all winter.

My 3 year old son has one. It's a lady's size, but in a gentleman's color. It tells time. It cost 1/10th as much as my Seiko, which also tells time.
