I imagine that it changed gameplay drastically. Requiring a "Game Master" and likely keeping track of a lot of detail would be necessary without the app.

I'm going to echo concerns about the companion app... If you require a computer to play the game, it should have just been a computer game.
Certifications don't help you do a job. They can help you get a job, if you are getting the sort of job where some HR staffer needs to quantify which the best candidate is and has no clue what your job function actually is.
Last thing I want to do is to have to give a lecture about shaking hands historically being a sign of distrust while someone wants to hand me a damn plaque.
I recently moved and was pretty surprised by the packratting I did. I had an entire box of old hard drives(ranging from 20gb to 80gb, both IDE and SATA), power supplies, etc. The habit of salvaging old computers and packratting all of the useable components came from a day when I couldn't afford to buy computer parts…
A lot of people argue that the backers have a responsibility to gauge the validity of a KS project. I argue that KS has a responsibility to backers to properly vet projects that they are aiding.
Totally agree, for some people those two hours are the only two hours they get and they are likely 100x more valuable than two hours doing anything else. It was a bit tongue-in-cheek to say the reward was zero, hence the addition of "drooling on yourself".
A couple of weeks ago, my wife wanted a frappucino, but didn't want all the nonsense that came with ordering a mystery powder drink that was 10x the sugar she was interested in having, so she ordered 2 shots of espresso, a shot of vanilla, a splash of milk, blended with ice.
Agreed, a HOA with a lot of vacancies will definitely force them to reevaluate their unreasonable restrictions.
I use an egg slicer. I've got a model with three different pairs of wire. One for cutting wedges (which I never use) and two for cutting slices. The slicing wires are perpendicular, so when you use both together, it leaves you with cubed eggs. The texture is great for making an egg salad sandwich. I don't recall how…
There are a great many commission based jobs that aren't scams, but I agree "up to" is a red flag for a scam. "Up to XXX dollars a day" usually means "as little as zero". A legit job will lead with the base pay.
I take the opposite approach. If it costs more than a certain amount, I decide what I want, then a week later, I come back. If I don't want it anymore, then it wasn't a purchase I should have made. If I still want it then I buy it. If I'm still on the fence, I give it another week.
I like to joke to people that Christians are better than Atheists because when a Christian tries to convince you that that God is real, they are doing it from some misguided idea that your eternal soul is at stake and they are just trying to save you from eternal damnation. When an Atheist tries to convince you that…
If you can't afford to set aside 100% of your income for emergencies and retirement, you really need serious financial help, and another job.
If you follow this kinda advice, then you really shouldn't be buying homes and cars on credit. It could be argued that a car increases your productivity, so I guess it would be OK to buy a car on credit if you don't currently own one, or your current one is no longer driveable. Buying a new model because your older…
I enjoyed Spore a lot, then my creatures evolved into a tribal culture and the game sucked.
In this context, it isn't "Early Access" to people who pay money. It's delayed access to people who don't.
I recommend that DM's not get too dependant on the screen... When you are fudging every single encounter because you put the characters against a too hard foe because your story required it and your players never lose, then you are missing the point.
If I had to give up every other piece of sportswear except one, underpants would be the one I keep. The difference between socks and shorts isn't as big as the difference in underwear. I usually wear boxers, so the support is also nice. Boxer Briefs are a great choice for exercise.
I have progressive. When i bought a motorcycle and insured it, they gave me a multiple policy discount on my car insurance that was greater than the cost of my motorcycle insurance.
