Before you start looking at slow cookers, I suggest you consider a pressure cooker instead. It is true that a slow cooker can save you time and money if you plan ahead (like 4-8 hours ahead), but who can do that?

I seldom visit Old Navy, but I was in The Gap the other day and they were doing 50% store wide. Same company, same business practices.
I don't think I can follow this advice, nor could I let my guests follow this advice. I would be so horribly offended that they aren't using the right glassware, I would likely spend the entire evening slapping wine glasses out of peoples hands and calling them cretins.
Yeah, because 50 inch off-brand TVs manufactured 3-5 years ago and being sold for $229 is a rip off and a waste of money. They bring em in to get you in the store. It is retail sleight of hand.
I have edited Wikipedia, but my changes were quickly reverted. I was doing minor secretarial editing, fixing sentence structure, formatting, etc. I wasn't actually changing anything the article was saying, just improving how it said it and the "owner" of the articles always seemed to take offense to anyone touching…
In past years, I had gone black friday shopping, mostly as a spectator. There have NEVER been actual good deals on Black Friday. The psychological effects of big sale stickers goes to consumers heads and makes them believe they are getting better prices than they normally would, but that isn't the case. Prices remain…
Old Crow was the whiskey that I learned how to pull straight from the bottle from. My friend told me if you aren't gonna take 3 chugs, it aint worth it. I don't remember any other advice from that night.
Last year, at 11:30PM on Thanksgiving, my sister and I had to go to Walmart to get dish soap and freezer bags. (Cleaning up Thanksgiving at the parents). It was frightening. People were camping all around the store, suspiciously watching any person who met their gaze. I had to buy a different brand of dish soap than…
Honestly, there isn't ANYTHING that you should be buying on Black Friday. Black Friday is a circus of a sale where retailers drag in a bunch of crap that has been collecting dust in a warehouse, put a huge sticker on it saying "110% off!!!!!" and somehow tricks you into buying that useless thing you wouldn't have…
I had very similar criticism for the same video they did for the NES.
I wouldn't say that.
I do this as well. Buying a new 9v battery for my pistol grip cat toy is much cheaper than buying 6+ watch batteries for the traditional models.
As a general rule, I don't play games that won't let me play.
My four favorite phrases when dealing with police are: "May I ask why you pulled me over?", "I do not consent to any searches", "Are you detaining me?" and "Can I leave now?"
I wasn't talking religion. If you want to get pedantic about it, for Christians, Sunday has plenty of obligations for your todo list.
I have an 08 Eclipse with a 4cyl and a 5 spd. I absolutely refuse to drive it when there is snow on the road because it won't do hills. I burned a perfectly decent set of tires last year battling icy uphills trying to get home the day it suddenly snowed a foot between the time I went to work and had to come back. (Not…
The moral of the story is that no manufacturer is immune to the "horror story" anecdote.
You are prolly right. With a big enough sample size, I bet we could find an engineer who has a horror story for every major manufacturer.
I guess I don't hang out with enough people who make jokes about UPS's... I've never heard such joke. Care to share?
I go through a lot of UPSs. The frequent failers for me are APC and Cyberpower. I personally like Tripp-Lite. It is surprising that it didn't get nominated. I would have done so, had I seen the call out.
