I live in what is known as a 'rural area.' Fat chance of us having cable out here until like 2015, most likely. The fastest speed available to home users in Hereford is 24Mb, but that's only in certain areas of the city centre and newer houses. Tis appauling.

I'm with BT here in the UK. I barely get 8Mb up and 1Mb down, and if I exceed their fair usage policy (100GB in a month) I get my bandwidth capped to 1MB down peak hours, for a month... Fucking poor.
