It is SO WEIRD to see the Browns WYTS this late in August.

So many of these features seem like the result of ill-informed focus testing. Also, the only meaningful feature that any streaming service could possibly implement over Twitch is live video seeking, which... well, YouTube already has that, so.

That’s all well and nice but some streamers make these interactive things look like freaking myspace pages. I had one look and I was nope. I’m gonna keep my channel on Twitch for now.

Whelp, I’m gonna get me a rocking chair, a bag of Werther’s chocolates, and start voting Republican I guess, because I am officially too old for this shit.

Now playing

I am 100% with Ethan on both sides of the Melee issue. I would also argue that there’s a polish to it that has been lacking in every subsequent iteration. It’s like they traded in refined level design and some of the best live orchestral arrangements in videogame history in favour of cramming more characters, more

Sorry, I tuned out when this became a discussion about the respective games’ communities rather than the games themselves.  That’s a discussion I’m frankly sick of.

Let people enjoy things.

No

Watching him break down and cry on stream after his win where he just let all that emotion out from his years of struggle was such a wonderfully humanizing experience. Best feel-good story of the year.

Also Axe for being the first player to win a Melee major tourney with Pikachu.

There’s plenty to love about Ultimate, and I do love it, but my struggles with it are that it’s still much slower than Melee, player advantage states are still incredibly small, and stocks still last too long on average by comparison. Pretty crazy to play them back to back and then realize that Wii U was STILL SLOWER

Maybe it sold at six-times the rate, because the Standard wasn’t ever really available?

Tesla: “We’re closing our dealers. We’re going 100% online, because modern electric rocket company.

There is zero benefit to the customer when Epic nabs an exclusive for themselves, and several tangible negatives. It’s pretty straightforward to understand, and so thank you for this breakdown.

I don’t disagree that accessibility is a great thing to have in games. I just don’t believe that developers should be lampooned for creating a specific, crafted, difficult experience, if they’re not interested in capturing a wide audience. Not every game has to appeal to everyone.

It would be much better if he just promised a bunch of crap that will never pass senate in 100 years, because the splinter child bloggers know thats how governance really works.

Who the people who made the game that brings more collectivejoy in a single minute of existence then most people do in an entire week? Or the streamer who has managed to monetize what he loves doing and provides a service that evidentially also provides happiness to many people?

Wait, so you’re telling me a company who won’t even list the price of their cars on their website without accounting for some nebulous “gas savings” is misleading us with their statistics for online vs in-person sales?

I very much desire a re-review of Snatch, because holy shit is this one short and wrong.

I completely disagree with this review. I think Snatch is a great, stylized crime film with incredible attention to detail and character nuance, and that it is well better than most of tarantino's films
