Only thing that had me not pick up my headset for a while was the content updates seemed to be slower than i’d like.

It’s no more complicated than PC gaming in general and it’s not a “pre-flight” checklist, more like a pre-flight-school checklist. There’s no point learning to fly if you’re scared of heights.

Once you’ve worked it out you just slap the headset on and get gaming.

So i’ve skimmed this article because I got the facebook-hate vibe straight off the bat and don’t need the details but i skimmed a bit to see most players have dropped using the quest after 6 months.

This, every-time i give it another chance the reason i drop it is because i’ve no idea how to get through all the multiple menus and inventories and just get bored of trying.

Infinite possibilities and exploration, itty bitty pockets!

I disagree here. Everyone points out that the prices have been pretty static for a long time, but you know what’s not been static? The demand/audience.

There’s actually more of the older casual gamer getting back into it now after they introduced the zero-build game modes.

it’s a decent gaming experience with lots to do so it’s sillly to declare you’re “too old for that s**t”

The first ten seconds is full of the older one pointing at the younger one and shouting his name...

I’ve only had it a couple of weeks and am waiting on my SD cards for extra storage but i’ve REALLY enjoyed revisiting the Mad Max game. A really decent game imo a bit of an odd pile of design decisions but a surprisingly beautiful world to run around in(at times) with some great gameplay mechanics and it runs like a

People have been playing Skyrim since the dawn of time as far as I can tell and they literally just released new, free gamemodes for Valhalla this month.

People may crap on Ubisoft(especially at Kotaku) but they do tend to make their games worth the buying price in the end.

Great time to play?

THis is ahlf my thinking.
They likely had some MP stuff to fix up. had to go back tot he drawing board to make it NFT-friendly... possibly had to go back to the drawing board again to scale back(if not remove) the NFT-friendly junk after public reception was so negative and we’ll end up with a WatchDogs Legion at sea.

They never said animating women was too hard, they said doing MORE animations to provide another female character in a game that had no character creation/customization would’ve been MORE work. As a statement it’s just accurate.

For some reason a bunch of game journalists

This, the majority of comments in response to this article are just awful.

The comments on this post are super depressing.
A solo artist produced this and they’re proud of it, imo they should be, they spent a lot of hard work on it and they wanted to share it.

I had the inverse experience. I lucked out and had none of the bugs people had with Unity and found Unity to be the “last true AC game”. (In my very lonely opinion)

Syndicate was the first AC game I’ve not completed. I found it very dull and very limited (And buggy too). The weapons you had available were very limited

They put levels and stats in the game.

Used to be stabbing a guy in the eye would kill ‘em, pretty reliably. Nowadays you need a purple knife and have earned a billion XP points to be sure.

(To be fair i have the settings that turns assassinations into QT events in Valhalla)

They just released a 50gb patch to fix things... where are you getting the notion that they “don’t care cos they have your money”. They’ve had the money for over a year now.

I think i might be done with Kotaku now.
I remember I used to come here for Video Game news but all we get now is click-bait hate-posts and we’re lucky if there is any video game news that isn’t just crapping on a beloved franchise because a related party decided they might try an NFT out.

But it’s never just a game,”

The overly harsh commentary on Team17 is a bit gross but it’s become a hypocritical standard on Kotaku these days. (I’m coming here less and less tbh)

Lets face it if they had ANY other Team17 related news to post at all they wouldn’t have attacked the Worms franchise and would have been neutral but because you have to
