I’m sure all the “ermahgerd GURLS R BAD” goons will come piling in to explain their many alternative reasons for not liking this movie, but so far it looks great.

I know trailers can lie, but sign me the f up. Kamala was one of the best new additions in phase iv.
I never got the sense that this game was intended to be anything more than “virtual theme park for HP fans.” Yeah, quests and mechanics and stuff, but most of the praise I’ve seen is basically “It’s fun being able to fuck around in a 3D Hogwarts.” The Nemesis system would’ve added a layer of strategy onto the game,…
Carolyn, you really need to relax. You are reading WAY too deep into some of this shit. I get it, it’s cool to be on the Rowling hate train and Kotaku loves stirring up unnecessary controversies, but it’s okay to enjoy video games, even controversial ones, without the baggage of social commentary and toxic social…
Id get the fuck over it and move on with my life for sure.
Its not really because it learned the bad hands from artists, but rather that fingers are very small compared to the rest of the image and also when the images get downsized for the AI training (64x64-512x512) the fingers will be like 1 pixel wide. Artists arent to blame here.
The kid broke the rules and violated security. Play Stupid Games, Get Stupid Rewards.
A wholesome story. Slow cook, amateur game, supported over years of development by a loyal, cult following, who a.) rallied to support the developers in a time of crisis and b.) now want to buy the long-building, overhauled, full version for - let’s be honest - a modest price? Don’t tell me gamers are toxic. Trolls…
It’s fun to slag on Facebook, but honestly the Quest is very well made for a VR headset. The idea that it should be more than an entertainment device is stupid, but they have built a very good piece of technology with the huge number of constraints they had.
I’ve had to keep myself away from trial coverage because it's all so gross. Thumbnails on YouTube where people are relishing a single mistake, or saying it "proves" she's lying... I can't handle it. And you're right, it shows how little we've learned.
What an edgelord take. So you watch a video that shows the game running smoothly, both at walking speed and while biking downhill at high speed, and say: this can’t possibly work, the framerate would tank. Not only is this literally proven wrong, but even if you weren’t completely, factually incorrect (you are), it is…
No one is ‘so mad’, it’s just like 20 people on Twitter. I’ve seen just as many people be happy to be represented and feel seen by the campaign.
I don’t think you read the comment you replied to.
The point isn’t that he stole the concept, it’s that he also stole the name.
My initial reaction was that Wordle is just the old logic game, called various things, I know it as Mastermind, just with a word component, so it’s not like it’s THAT creative of a game, but then I realized this dick not only took the idea, but just straight up used the name too, so screw him.
If he hadn’t copied the name and design, I’d have no issues with this. Doug Wardle didn’t invent and doesn’t own the concept and he never claimed otherwise. But if someone wants to make a version with more options and leaderboards and all that, sure, go for it - but at least come up with a new name.
“is generally” means you are uncharitably distorting their words, you intellectually dishonest goon
In a sea of shit that gets 14 seasons or at least a few more than one, which they still don’t even deserve, this is a crying shame and these people are the problem, as much as Netflix themselves are.
Man, it’d be a shame if in the next paragraph I said something like
I do wonder if Far Cry games, and the Ubisoft formula at large, is just not good for critics. I played AC: Valhalla over many weeks. Took some breaks here and there, and just gradually made my way through it. And I enjoyed it!
However, I can’t imagine playing it under a time crunch, and if I had, I would have given it…
Bravo! I was expecting a slideshow I was instantly going to close when I clicked this article. This is great!
