I’m sure the police are regularly monitoring Kotaku comments for admissions of piracy... I sure hope they’re not spending too much time solving murders or anything.

My thoughts exactly.

Looks lovely but why aren’t those moons moving?

Geometric shapes developing naturally is quite possible.

I disagree with a lot of what was written here... but it was funny.

I see no real resemblance.
Cassie is about as generic looking as you can get for a female fighter based on young american adults of the current generation.
The woman pictured who’s upset about her likeness appears to have far more character and I see no similarities between the incredibly generic poses.

So I got the discs sat on my doormat at home.
Can i assume this isn’t a problem for me when I finish work and install it the old fashioned(cheaper) way?

You can’t pause the game in on-line multiplayer(which is the only place I assume these tokens were designed for) and if you like to play lots of different characters it’s not so easy to memorise.

Offensive Day-1 DLC is the kind that costs money, on day-1.
Pre-order exclusives are a different problem. Doesn’t matter what it is. Some games will have entire levels or gametypes hidden behind pre-orders so this is hardly different.

I don’t like pre-order exclusives much either but it is a very different thing.

My biggest concern is this.
The app lacks polish and has clearly been released with some big design flaws and before it was finished. They rushed it for sure. It works pretty well for me but the WBPlay connectivity issue is a clear sign they weren’t ready and just general little gui bugs and clunky controls lean

I actually liked that MKX has “unknown” characters.
It doesn’t end up devalueing good characters by giving them “bronze” versions like Injustice did and it adds some flavour to the wider MK world by letting us play as the grunts of the various factions.

Note that the gold cards sell for 150 Souls but the nearest IAPs are for 125 Souls or 300 Souls.
I haven’t devised a way yet t0 buy anything of any use without spending more than I’ve already spent on the actual game so i’ve almost entirely written the game off.

How is the value of the IAP purchase calculated aside from it’s cost?
Buying 10 expensive currencies in one game might buy me ten good in-app things for example whilst Buying 10 cheap currencies in another game might buy me only half a bad thing.

Having more in-game currency doesn’t mean much as the currencies have

What’s the day-1 DLC?
Pre-order (timed) exclusives have never been counted as day-1 DLC before.
Aside from a potential season pass(Kombat Pack) there’s been no announcement i’ve seen of an actual day-1 DLC.

Welcome to blogs.
I’ve played the game for more than two hours. (The game has only been out for a couple of days now) but the article is pretty much on the nose.
I actually think 2 hours is a good bench mark for first impressions.
If you’re not having fun after two hours why would you continue?

Actually potentially it could, a lot of this information is already available and planned to be made use of in just this sort of way, just no one has made it practical yet.

All this does is put the core emphasis on how well they design the game.

I’d argue that was a perfectly fitting “last stand” for a pilot.
For him to go “guns blazing” in a more literal sense would be cheese-mc-wheeze.

It's a difficult one, as a parent myself I've identified that a large number of games I own are all mature rating due to violence and swears.

Yeah... because now they've finished it.
On PC we have less patience for incomplete packages. ;)
