It can't be too long before Indy is smart enough to race at COTA. Then we will finally have a benchmark to compare the 2 series. F1 laps there in the high 1:30's Grand-Am did it in about 2:00 flat. I suspect a DW12 would do it in the mid to high 1:40's.

Yes, yes, yes!

The fixed gears worry me too, that goes beyond restrictive and borders on the draconian.

Try more like 3,000 RPMs.

Absolutely to those two. Most cars should be modified, even it's just something very minor. Only the best of the best should ever stay stock.

Excellent point. Modifying a GTO or F50 would be even worse. I've never seen one of them modified. Sadly we've all seen many Enzo's and an F40 or two done up oddly.

This may be a blasphemous, cardinal sin here, but I never liked those fender flares on the gullwing. I'd love to see what it would look like without them.

So does Hennessy.

Yes, yes, yes. A million times yes.

That's a great photo!!

So true. I imagine Fox Sports 1 will continue with most of the NASCAR coverage but I am really worried about what will happen to all the other series' television exposure in the states. I hope someone can pick up next year's Le Mans and the new USCR series at a bare minimum.

BMW calls it a Banjo-spoke wheel. So, not a Nardi, but definitely unique.

It's all good man!

Hard to get any more tasteful than a clean, early Ferrari like this 212 from 1951.

You want tasteful? Try a Ferrari 575m, pure class without any of the ridiculously over the top details you'll find on the current F12.

Here is a Lusso.

As does the Islero.

The 350GT begs to differ.

It's modern counterpart, the Z8 deserves a nomination as well.

A family friend had one of these. Visited him in Italy about a decade ago, sad on the outside, awesome on the inside, fun to drive.
