No matter what I call them, I'm self-conscious about baring them (and honestly, about wearing a dress) working on a floor that is over 95% male. Stereotypical woman-in-tech situation all over this joint (Joint! Get it? Ankles are a joint... nevermind).

This is the kind of thing that inspires employee loyalty. It is a rare and beautiful thing.

However it does beg the question why they undervalued you so severely in the first place. Hopefully they learn from their mistake in the future.

I am so, so jealous. The place I work knows how badly they underpay us, and they know they can hire more desperate people to underpay if we quit, so they don't care even a little.
