I've been reading her book and it's been cracking me the fuck up, but otherwise I'm not terribly familiar with Caitlan Moran- what's she been doing/saying that's perturbing you?

I wasn't referring to her actions so much as how she portrayed herself in this story.

So... Serious movies are somehow inherently harder to make than funny ones? Because I think it's almost exactly the other way around.

There is both romance and comedy, but it's not a typical romantic comedy. The mental illness part is pretty front and center, and the movie is pretty damn good. And, last I checked, there's no rule that says Only Super Serious Movies Get Oscars.

Dean Kamen is also the Grand Poobah of FIRST Robotics, which is actually a damn cool organization. Let's not wish him away; let's perhaps re-focus him off this totally upsetting project.

I find it hard to tease out my reasons for wearing makeup. I definitely feel that I look better when I wear it, and that in turn makes me feel snazzy and confident (and therefore one could say I'm wearing it 'for myself')... But it's easily argued that those feelings are the result of conditioning by a culture that
