I once got a ticket in NYC for expired registration. The VIN was correct, but the license plate was wrong - different state and the plate number doesn’t even exist. Of course my registration was valid. Never underestimate the incompetence of a traffic agent.

This isn’t even a real cop, just a meter maid on a power trip.

I like not having to get out of the car in the heat/cold/rain/snow/monsoon/Godzilla attack/hurricane/nor’easter/etc.
It is civilized and gives you a chance to collect your thoughts, rest, check your e-mail, etc.

I loathe going to other states where I have to get out of the car and pump gas like I was in…
