That's presumptuous. What does it matter what anyone knows about your company if you're hiring them? What does it actually accomplish that they know some random trivia about something that won't matter in a week?

It's fine if you want to accuse my argument of making no sense, but I see no evidence to the contrary. You do not prove how my analogies are false, and I have no idea what "Don't Starve" means (other than that it is a game).

Just rolling with the punches, mate.

How does having reviews of job creators give employees leverage? What can you possibly do with that information you couldn't do without it...? All it achieves is more transparency, and not even from said job creators in the first place, so it's a service, just like everything else.

What the actual fuck? Do you blame the stage crew for a bad play? The store cashiers for overpriced goods...? This argument makes no sense.

And idiots. Let's not forget the idiots.

I'm sorry, how is this anti-capitalist...? Capitalistic economics does not preclude a review of employment conditions as long as the results isn't then used by a government for regulation purposes.

You know, that's a good question. My guess is it makes more sense globally, since in Japan these types of games are called Simulation RPGs, and in order to have a unified term here in NA, somebody decided to adopt SRPGs as the standard.

That's because most of them are filed under Tactical RPGs, ranging from the traditional grid-based Tactics Ogre and XCOM to grid-less ones, like Sakura Taisen 3 (and beyond, including its spiritual spin-off, Valkyria Chronicles) and End of Eternity/Resonance of Fate.

Bummer. I was hoping it was at least decent.

What's wrong with the Nostromo again?

What's wrong with the Nostromo again?

Damn it...another reason we need that sarcasm font. My apologies.

On the contrary, they have quite a few ideas about what they're doing. That doesn't mean I cannot make my opinions known, however, just as you are entitled to make yours known.

The same could be said of most games, so why does Apples get to discriminate based on theme alone?

Taste is by nature subjective. Why lambaste Kotaku for having a differing opinion? Anime can be good for any number of reasons, just like any other medium, even if it doesn't tickle your fancy.

Are we still talking about Threes vs. 2048...? I thought the whole point of that debate was that Threes was the first one released and is, in pretty much every way superior to most, if not all, of its clones. I am unsure as to which game you are referring to that Threes has copied.

Define the need for a game to be free.

Sirlin is...kind of an ass some times. He's quite good when it comes to actually articulating a point and distilling an analysis, but he's a little too narcissistic and altogether too sure of himself for my taste.

Are you sure he wouldn't say something along the lines of "....your mother"?
