By the way, I am now just realizing how absurd - yet amazing - of a time we live in that I nonchalantly said, “only 550HP”. And the fact that we are talking about AWD SUVs in the sub 5-second 0-60 range.
I think they thought less about the X6-M in comparison, and more about the Range Rover Sport SVR. The RRS SVR is only 550HP, and 0-60 is 4.5 seconds... That won’t sit too well with the boys from Solihull. Although the SVR *can* still go offroad. A little. Kinda.

It is not a public road. During the race time, it is a closed road, and thoroughly marked as such. They have race officials out at most major intersections, preventing things like this happening. But you can’t 100% prevent stupid people doing stupid things.

I live in the middle of the freakin' desert. For me to visit the next closest metropolitan areas, I have to travel further than the German Army did when it invaded Poland in WW2. And, beyond the distance, I have to change elevation dramatically to do so.
"When you pay the best, you can afford to be picky as hell about who works for you." No. You can't. To be fired from the UAW, you pretty much have to be caught doing drugs on shift. Poor performance? Oh, that means they weren't trained properly.... The list goes on.

Quite possible it is on loan/rented. If I recall, Ken Block took an EarthRoamer to Hanksville, UT for a week and a half on a photo shoot a few months ago. May have even been this exact vehicle.
