In Vegas on NYE, a cab wouldn’t pick you up unless you paid $50 minimum. 3 blocks? $50. Don’t want to pay it? See ya - on to the next guy. They would ask the customer where they are going to determine if it was worth it to them. Cabbies - not cab companies - pull this sort of crap all the time.
