I worked at GameStop Corporate for a few years and everyone I worked with, from management all the way down to retail genuinely considered themselves to be working “in the games industry” just like a developer at Naughty Dog or…

Not giving GameStop a pass, but $.50 an hour is $1,000 a year. I know that in a past corporate job, my raise one year was $600 a year, and I was making a lot more than $11 an hour, so I guess they can look on the bright side and know that their % increase is better than other jobs.  

Time for a little “hard truth” or, I am sure, a very unpopular opinion: 

I worked there from 2006 to 2014 and went from $5.25 an hour to $8 an hour. I moved to CA and got bumped to $13 an hour for year, but when I moved back to FL they tried to drop my to $7.50 and I quit. Every year that they gave me pay raises, it was always a few weeks before the minimum pay rose and swept the bottom…

Repossessions are low because the tow trucks that would have repossessed them were themselves reposed.

I think there's a very good movie that could be made out of LOTR that would be less commercial and action focused and feel more like ancient myth, ponderous and enigmatic, but it would certainly be less popular and sell less tickets

What a terrible, terrible breakdown. It was just a series of complaints and angst at Marvel and/or the Thor movies.
