I agree. I could vote by mail but don’t. I love the tradition of going to the polls and bringing my kids with me. It’s one of my favorite things, even though my kids roll their eyes and complain.

It is one of the hardest jobs in the world. It requires absolutely bottomless dedication, patience, selflessness, energy, hard work, and yes, very thick skin.

My kids’ middle school went into lockdown on the 2nd day of school this year because a man with a gun was spotted very close by.
