It baffles me too, but I think it's because the original Zelda, while difficult, was also incredibly simple in terms of puzzles and whatnot. It was just a matter of finding any dungeon in any particular order for the most part. Zelda II was also a beast of its own kind in the same way SMB2 was. I think it's really as

I've never played a single Tales game, but I love Star Ocean. Should I pick this up?

Actually, I just liked the music, story, and art direction. The dungeons were a lot of fun as well, and I quite enjoyed the combat. Really, the only complaint I even had with that game was the stupid bug-smashing quests.

I played it as a kid, a teen, and as a young adult and simply did not like it. Not every single person on the internet who disagrees with you is a troll.

The amount of absurdity in this reply was actually painful to read. You have fun being a nostalgia fueled misanthrope, I'll have fun playing games I actually enjoy.

I fail to see how the post is "BS", unless your definition of "BS" is "Hey! That guy doesn't agree with the rest of us! He's a lying bastard!"

Like I give a damn about what other people think is the best Zelda. "Best" is a relative term, and arguing "best" is the absolute stupidest, pointless, and most time-wasting thing that gamers do. I can sit here all day and preach about how FFX is the greatest game ever made, but what do I gain if people say "Yeah!

How original, I guess by that logic you can't be a Final Fantasy fan if you hate FFXIII since it got good reviews. The NES games were good, OoT was good, as was Windwaker, TP, and SS. The DS and GameBoy games were alright too. I'd say that pretty much classifies me as a fan, and not someone who needs to constantly

That's what I am hoping for, but everyone on the planet seems to be in love with the game so I doubt it. lol

Yeah, when I am usually trying to play it, I always end up stopping and asking myself "Why am I playing this if I'm really not having much fun at all?"

I just didn't like the lack of a sense of direction. It was hard to tell where you were supposed to go, and when. The combat was also kind of boring, but I didn't really hold that against it.

I tried it just last year and still felt the same way. I don't want to count this game out just yet because I do love the Zelda series, just not LTTP. Well, that and Majora's Mask.

This game looks interesting. I want to try it, but god, I did not like LTTP at all. I played it on a SNES when I was a kid just like everyone else, but I just never had fun with it, and I have no nostalgia for it. It always felt like a tedious mess of a game to me compared to the other SNES games I owned.

Oh my god, I want a Day[9] card.

I had the most fun playing this game in kind of a different way. I hated what happened near the end of the story with the big fetch quest for the "real" ending, so instead, I focused entirely on getting as many survivors out of the mall as possible, and I always let the story end via the "good" ending with a

What is there left to do in a gigantic universe that has been crafted with a ton of unique races, story options, locations, and factions?

You sure showed them.

Nah, sentinel is best :D

My favorite Pokemon ever <3
