I second Endless Space, particularly 2. I find all of Amplitude’s 4Xs to be nice entry points to the genre.

Yep. The game ultimately boils down to ‘take item from location X to location Y and do Z when there’ But, of course, X is a well-hidden location that takes a lot of exploration to even hear of its existence, much less know how to reach it. Y is located in a dangerous area that you need to learn about in order to

This is a good article on this point published today:

I personally enjoyed the description of the DLC, which included “Washington is one of the most northwestern states of the United States”

Agreed! Its one of those games thats always in the back of your mind going ‘you know you want to come back... you still have your underwater fortress to create!’

They’re part of the 16% of us who don’t get it through our employers and don’t qualify for medicare/aid. They are part of the half of that group that buys their insurance on their own (as opposed to just not having it)... which is very expensive.

Well, probably a couple of things.

Hey, you’re the one saying that if everyone is equal whether someone is white or black shouldn’t matter. :)  Why not going for representation if you assume that everyone is equal?

I feel that you are using ‘equality’ to justify eliminating ‘representation’, which are two different and yet both important things. You are saying that if people want to claim that everyone is equal, then they shouldn’t care what race anyone is because its all equivalent.

Look for the... uh... Salt Lions?  (Sphinxes in the water).  You can make a ton of easy money early in the game by ferrying Sphinxstone back to London over and over again.  They’re usually not far from London itself, somewhere near Visage.

yup. I’m one of the many who loved Halo 1 and 2 on my Xbox but who could never quite justify buying an entire 360 or One just to play Halo 3 through ??? (I haven’t bought a single console since getting married until I got a Switch, which I play almost exclusively handheld). I would buy it in a heartbeat if it came to

Thank you guys for bringing Obra Dinn to my attention.  I missed it earlier this year and I’m now incredibly glad I got the chance to play it.  Definitely GOTY for me!

War of the Chosen changed a LOT about the base game in a far more radical way than, say, Enemy Within changed things about XCOM1.  Definitely worth getting and replaying (playing?  Again, its very different in almost all good ways) it.

1) #metoo happened long after gamergate, so thats a weird way to put it.

So... I’m sensing that you haven’t played the game.

you know... you using a misogynistic slur to describe someone who you claim was fired for reasons other than misogyny is... telling.

Okay, sure... and the article points out that many cultures, such as the romans, don’t allow women generals, so... your point... is... what, exactly?   That they were barbarians, the general term that the Romans used for anyone who wasn’t them?

Oh god, just... stop. Or, you know, keep going and read more than the very first definition of a word because language isn’t black or white.

you have been proven wrong...

So, you are either saying that you believe that women are inherently incapable (on average) of being the best person to do the job, and consequently there was only a small % of leadership roles held by women, *or* you are saying that women are incapable due to deficiencies in training and/or opportunities to excel.
