Its definitely after Halo 2.

I doubt it. They aren't reviewing the plot for literary merit, or trying to tell you that 'subquest Y is the best thing ever!!!', they're trying to give you a sense of what the game is, how it plays and why they do (or don't) like it.

You actually think that you represent the 'majority of knowledgeable gamers'? In what sense do you justify this? Knowledgeable... how? Majority... how?

1) XCom (both the original and the Firaxis version): The original Enemy Unknown is one of the first games I can remember holding the box in my hands on the way home from the store and being excited to rip into it and start playing. I then got scared of the Cryssalids and didn't finish a playthrough (I was... 7, I

This makes no sense. Apply it to ANY other field.

Well, sure, but we're not talking about how a sedentary lifestyle plus high calorie intake makes you gain weight (which I wholeheartedly agree with), we're talking about the claim in the original comment that 'bread makes you fat.' As you have pointed out, many people throughout history have eaten plenty of bread

Average human height now is significantly higher than it has been at any point in history, due in large part to the easy and free flow of grains from agriculture. Grains have been the staple food for all of society for over 8000 years. The Romans didn't keep their citizens happy with 'kale and circuses' after all.

He does have name recognition though. Total War:

Cool! This looks like a streamlined and 'do it in an afternoon' version of a series of forum games that I've been playing for the past several years (here, if you are interested) that basically involves a lot of the same concepts. I'm totally going to try this out with some friends this weekend, as this seems

Microscope is incredible... if a game I've only ever managed to get a few rounds into. Would love to play a full game at some point.

I think the two are linked, however.

They do.

Well, yes.

Wait, it what? Where was I? I LOVED Rise of nations. *Goes to pirate it in Nevada* (or, more truthfully, buy it on steam)

Agreed! Although given that death is merely an 'inconvenience' in FL (you basically head to the Thames/Styx and play chess with Death to get back), its a bit disconcerting that there's permadeath in SS. Although I guess death on the Zee would probably make you either a Drownie or something.

Ah. There it is. This one is definitely the best of the STEAM SALE IS COMING! vids.

On the plus (?) side... no miasma!

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! WHERE'S THE VOLCANO?
