Oh, sure. I certainly wouldn't call them greedy. I would have gladly paid more than the $20 (or $25 that I spent for the basic 'get the game' level on Kickstarter) for the game because I am a huge fan of the genre, and it looked/looks interesting.

Well, err... it is a little odd to have the 'retail' price be LESS than the 'backer' price. Leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, to be honest with you. (And yes, I know that becoming a backer isn't the same as buying the item, and I would have backed it regardless of how the final price point was determined,…
Then you have not met my cats.
When I first heard about kickstarter, I went through a bit of a binge on, well, pretty much any interesting concept I saw. I regret several of those pledges now (eg. Star Command for PC, which a year later they are trying to release an android version which will eventually be the basis of the PC version after they do…
Actually, all we know is that the endgame is roughly the same. This doesn't mean that the story won't be different, just that the conclusion of it will be :)
I actually did go back and play 1-3 one right after the other (as femshep, too, I was... broshep(? is that the right word?) the first time around). I found the ending MUCH more satisfying. While the Kid still was an odd choice (and I still love Indoctrination Theory in my heart), the ending seemed... fitting... the…
"It's just a fun game that you pay for and play as much as you want!"
"The Thief was alone. A weird thought to have, but good!"
Ooooh. I forgot all about Dawn of War. I wonder if I still have my disks for that.
Its old (now), and wasn't ever really a 'masterpiece' of the genre, but if you want science/fantasy RTS, Rise of Legends might be what you are looking for. Steampunk Italy meets Magic Persia meets Alien Maya.
Hey, thanks! I missed that the first time around. I totally recommend Thomas Was Alone, particularly at its current price. Totally worth every penny.
Dragonborn was worth it. Opened up an entire new region to explore, brought back some good memories from Morrowind, and had a more interesting plot than Dawnguard (which was fine, but not as great.)
Yeah, I can't wait for the update.
Agreed with Evoland. Cute to see the gameplay mechanics advance, but the whole thing was short (finished it in an afternoon), and underneath the excellent concept... there's very little to support it.
But the article is basically pulling out a few different board games and saying how they aren't about winning or losing and therefore board games, as a whole, are better than videogames. I've played too many games of Risk, Monopoly, Backgammon, Chess, Age of Imperialism, Sorry, etc, etc, etc in which I have known I…
Why wouldn't they? Do you really think most parents care one bit about any of the things that people are griping about here? At BEST, we're talking a few parents who do their research and realize that their kids are going to be spending more on videogames because used games aren't available (which, personally, I…
Gendry does actually show up in Book 4. He fights some bandits with Brienne, and we learn that he's been knighted by Dondarion, which is fun. Maybe by the end, he'll end up on the throne. This... is unlikely.
I mostly just had the idea of a match-3 halflife 3 come into my head and needed to actually write *something* to get me there :D
Well, really, it was a matter of outrage that the X-com franchise, which was much beloved, was coming back, but the announced game seemed to have very little to do with what people loved about the original, and instead (seemed) to be a generic shooter which was stooping like a vulture over the carcass of X-com. It…
Right. This. It sounds like a fine introduction for a typical TES game, where you are *the* Dragonborn, etc, but... This doesn't make any sense for a MMO.
